About: Allison  E.  Holzman  is  an  attorney  with  Weinberger  Divorce  &  Family  Law  Group.  Ms. Holzman earned her law degree from Fordham University School of Law, having been a member of the International Law Journal and peer advisor while in school. Ms. Holzman also spent time during law school volunteering at the Legal Aid Society/Juvenile Rights Division in  Manhattan,  as  well  as  undergoing  an internship with Federal  District  Judge Alfred  J.  Lechner,  Jr.  She  received  her  undergraduate  degree  in  Psychology  from  the University  of  Michigan.  Ms.  Holzman  is  licensed  to  practice  in  New  Jersey,  New  York and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.

Since her  graduation  from law school,  Ms.  Holzman has been solely  dedicated to the practice of  family and matrimonial law. In addition to representing clients in contested matters, Ms. Holzman is qualified Family Law Mediator and provides mediation services to assist parties in reaching a mutual resolution of their family and matrimonial issues. Ms. Holzman is also trained in the alternative dispute resolution method of collaborative divorce, which better enables her to avoid litigation through this non-adversarial settlement process.

Ms. Holzman was also a contributing author on the  ICLE publication, the Yudes Family Law  Citator,  a yearly treatise that is utilized  by  almost  all  family and  matrimonial attorneys in the State of New Jersey. She has most recently volunteered her time at the County  College  of  Morris  Women’s  Clinic, providing  legal  advice and insight  at the divorce  clinics, as well  as  speaks at various  different  locations  on  issues  such  as custody,  parenting  time,  alimony  and  equitable  distribution.  She  is also a volunteer family law panelist in Essex County for the county ESP (early  settlement  panel) program.

Ms. Holzman is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, Morris County Bar Association and Young Lawyer’s Division of the State Bar. She is a member of the New Jersey  Collaborative  Law  Group  (noting  her role  on  the  marketing  committee),  as  well as a member of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals.

Allison  Holzman  has  handled  complex  matters  from  the  initial filing  through  the conclusion, working  tirelessly  to  achieve  a  positive  resolution  for  each  of  her  clients. She  is  passionate about her  work  and ensures  that  each  client  receives  the individual attention  that  they  need  and  deserve, explaining  the  nuances  to  each  client  and providing every client with insight into how the judges might handle each unique matter. Her experience in matrimonial and family law includes not only highly contested issues in  the  areas  of  alimony,  equitable  distribution  and  custody/parenting  time,  but  also lower conflict approaches, such as mediation or collaborative divorce.

Ms. Holzman has prepared prenuptial agreements, custody and parenting agreements, marital settlement agreements including a distribution of assets and complex valuation issues  and  determining  appropriate  spousal and  child  support while always applying a level of compassion to each client.
